The Future of Neuromorphic Computing for HPC and Beyond
A variety of new computing technologies are emerging as paths into the future of computing beyond exascale and beyond the end of Moore’s law. One of those technologies is neuromorphic computing, which offers not only a platform for low-power, accelerated neural network-style computation, but also a fundamentally different way of thinking about how computational problems can be formulated.
In this talk, the current state of neuromorphic computing hardware and software research will be discussed.
We will look into the future of neuromorphic computing systems from a computer science perspective, and will discuss how they will fit into the future compu3ng landscape, both in the context of high-performance computing systems as well as in computing in general.
