Results from ETH Sabbatical: Architecture of a Weather and Climate Accelerator

Ronald completed a one year sabbatical at CSCS Hönggerberg at the end of 2019. The objective was to develop a domain specific Accelerator architecture and implementation for weather and climate simulations. A Course Grain Reconfigurable Array architecture is used to implement the well-known horizontal diffusion and vertical advection benchmarks with a toolflow from a Domain Specific Language.

The presentation shows the results and the next steps.
